Research Taste

We defy the “rules” and always look for exceptions and outliers. We enjoy the process of figuring out dirty and messy systems. We critically analyze the good and bad practices in the field and never follow authority blindly. We constantly challenge the status quo and ourselves. We are outspoken and hold strong opinions. We try to balance fundamental understanding and practical applications. We support open science by using free software and pre-printing our manuscripts whenever possible.

Work Environment

We value work-life balance and personal wellbeing. Physical and mental health is prioritized over everything else. The office is a free and safe space for everyone to enjoy science, and our theory office is in the neighborhood of multiple great experimental groups – everyone should definitely mingle around!
